Agreement

By purchasing and using Capsulo One, you agree to these terms.

License

What you receive:

• Non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Capsulo One
• License valid for single user
• Use on unlimited Mac devices you own or control
• Updates included (no additional fees)

What you cannot do:

• Redistribute, resell, or share the software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software
• Remove or alter copyright notices
• Use for illegal purposes

Purchase

Capsulo One: $50 USD one-time purchase. No subscriptions or recurring fees.

Payment processed by third-party processor. You agree to their terms when purchasing.

Download link sent to email provided at purchase. Keep email for future downloads.

Refunds

10-day refund period from date of purchase.

Request refund by emailing edgar@codedgar.com with purchase details.

Refunds processed within 5-7 business days.

Acceptable Use

You are responsible for complying with recording laws in your jurisdiction.

Your responsibilities:

• Obtain consent when legally required to record conversations
• Comply with privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Respect intellectual property and confidentiality obligations
• Do not use for illegal surveillance or unauthorized recording

We are not liable for your use of the software. You bear all legal responsibility for your recordings.

No Warranty

Capsulo One provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all macOS versions or hardware
• Specific transcription accuracy
• Data recovery if files are lost or corrupted

We recommend backing up important recordings.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any damages arising from use of Capsulo One.

This includes:

• Lost recordings or data
• Failed transcriptions
• Legal issues from your recordings
• Violations of recording consent laws
• Hardware or software conflicts
• Business losses or missed opportunities

Maximum liability limited to purchase price ($50 USD).

Updates

Updates provided at our discretion. No guarantee of specific features or timelines.

Updates may require newer macOS versions. Older versions remain available for download.

No additional payment required for updates.

Discontinuation

We may discontinue Capsulo One at any time.

If discontinued, you retain license to use your downloaded version. No refund for discontinued software.

Third-Party Software

Capsulo One includes open-source components:

• Whisper.cpp (MIT License)
• FFmpeg (LGPL/GPL License)
• Electron (MIT License)

These components subject to their respective licenses. See app documentation for details.

Governing Law

These terms governed by laws of the United States and the State of California.

Disputes resolved in California courts.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Changes posted on this page with updated date.

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email if possible.
